Locks of Love Event at Giovanni's Salon, Spa & Supplies

Our Locks of Love event is coming to Giovanni’s Salon and Spa on Wednesday evening, June 5^th, 2013! This is one of our favorite ways to be involved in our community for a greater cause. 
 
Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 in the U.S. and Canada who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. They meet a unique need for children by using donated human hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. The prostheses they provide help to restore self-esteem and confidence, enabling these children to face the world and their peers.
 
It warms our hearts to see children and adults come in to Giovanni’s Salon and Spa to donate their beautiful hair that they have lovingly grown. We are pleased to be able to donate their 10” ponytail or braid directly to Locks of Love. They accept curly, grey, colored or permed hair, but not bleached or highlighted due to potential reactions. Interesting fact: Hairpieces require between 6-10 ponytails and take approximately 4-6 months to manufacture.
As a participating Locks of Love salon, Giovanni’s treats the donors to 50% off their new style including shampoo with conditioning scalp massage, haircut, blow-dry and styling.
