Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Applying to Become a Trauma Center
Chris Aldworth, Vice President of the Satellite Division at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC), will be speaking to the Chino Rotary Club about the hospitals intent to formally join the Los Angeles County trauma network. Pomona Valley Hospital has entered a pre-designation period with the Los Angeles County and must now create and recruit the necessary resources to meet the requirements of the American College of Surgeons, who will need to survey the hospital prior to validating the hospital as a Trauma Center. PVHMC will also begin discussions with the San Bernardino County to acquire their designation as well. Combined, the hospital anticipates providing trauma services to a population exceeding 1.5 million people.
