After the Marines\, he worked as a field representative for Assemblyman Fred Aguiar from 1992 to 1997. He was also a regional manager for Southern California Edison during his time on the San Bernardino City Council from 2002 to 2008.\n\nDerry was elected to represent San Bernardino County's third district\, the second largest\, on the Board of Supervisors in June 2008.\n\nSince 2013\, he has attained the position of Sr. VP of Public Affairs for Desmond & Louis PR Specializing in Land Use\, Energy\, Organized Labor\, and Media Relations
